As acting Chief Human Resources Officer, Laila is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of Peraton’s human resources strategies to include talent acquisition, talent development, compensation, benefits, organizational change management, and employee engagement.
Laila serves as Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Officer and is responsible for working across Peraton’s sectors and functions to help align the company’s DE&I goals with measurable business outcomes. She also leads the company’s ethics and compliance function and is charged with establishing and executing programs that support enterprise DE&I efforts, including the company’s employee resource groups.
Prior to her current role, Laila served as Peraton’s vice president, Corporate Responsibility where she led the company’s ethics, compliance, quality, and risk management efforts. She previously served in a range of human resource leadership roles with aerospace, defense, national security, and government contracting companies.
Laila earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Strayer University and a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Knowledge Management from George Mason University.
