Steve Kropac

In this role, Steve is responsible for leading daily operations and drives the growth strategy for Peraton Labs, our advanced research and development (R&D) business unit.

Steve is a recognized expert in telecommunications, cyber operations, electronic warfare, C5-ISRT capabilities, cloud computing, and 4G/5G networks. He brings three decades of experience leading programs for the Intelligence Community and the Department of War.

At Peraton, he will continue building on his proven record of scaling high-performing organizations, developing novel R&D programs, and delivering mission-critical solutions for the nation’s most technologically demanding customers. He is focused on ensuring customers and top technology experts are aware of, and able to implement, Peraton’s breakthrough technology—including our proven agentic AI platform.

Prior to joining Peraton, Steve served as chief technology officer for CTI, a technology company focused on open platforms and applications, and as vice president at CACI International. Previously, he was also vice president and chief technology officer of Cyber at LGS Innovations and a senior software engineer at Bellcore, a company focused on integrated remote digital terminals.

Steve holds bachelor’s and master’s in computer engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, where he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. He also completed doctoral studies in computer science at Stevens.
