Steve Kropac

In this role, Steve will lead the Peraton Labs team relying on his deep technical expertise across cyber, telecommunications, and electronic warfare. This, combined with his track record of translating cutting-edge research and development, will enable him to continue to advance Peraton’s technology vision and deliver differentiated solutions for Peraton customers.

He has 30 years of experience leading advanced research and development programs for the intelligence community and the Department of War with a focus on promoting technology insertion for our national security customers.

Steve will lead the Peraton Labs team of world-class scientists, engineers, researchers, and technologists and continue to add depth to this engine for innovation.

He is a recognized expert in telecommunications, cyber operations, electronic warfare, C5-ISRT capabilities, cloud computing, and 4G/5G networks. He brings a proven record of building and scaling high-performing technology organizations, developing novel R&D programs, and delivering mission-critical solutions for the nation’s most demanding customers.

Most recently, he served as chief technology officer and head of the Technology Solutions Division at Chesapeake Technology International (CTI), a Parsons Company. Prior to CTI, he served as vice president and lead technologist for Cyber Operations Research and Engineering at CACI. There, he led staff across six states and was responsible for more than 40 programs.

Steve holds bachelor’s and master’s in computer engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, where he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. He also completed doctoral studies in computer science at Stevens.
