Peraton attests to our Greenhouse Gas Inventory including all Peraton subsidiaries. In our sustained approach to carbon reduction, Peraton shares a fully integrated management framework including common support organizations and business systems to accomplish agile communications and actions across the Peraton enterprise.
“Operational control” approach
Peraton implements the “Operational Control” approach to accomplish our inventory of greenhouse gas emissions. With this approach, Peraton includes all measures of energy consumption categories specific to Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions for which Peraton has operational control. Activities outside of Peraton’s operational control are included in the appropriate categories associated with Scope 3.
REAL ESTATE OCCUPIED BY PERATON
Peraton’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions originate from real estate occupied by Peraton. Within its real estate portfolio, Peraton subleases parts of facilities or entire facilities. The carbon emissions associated with the subleased locations are not part of Peraton’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions in the application of the “Operational Control” approach.
