Peraton held its third Annual Leadership Pie in the Face event in early September with exceptional results. Driven by employees’ participation and support, the event raised more than $20,000 for the American Heart Association (AHA). This funding goes directly toward lifesaving cardiovascular research, community health education, and programs that impact millions of people each year.
Leading the way
We applaud the 10 senior leaders who volunteered to take part in the event. Their willingness to participate—and get a little messy in the process—set a positive tone for this event, which was built on community, generosity, and purpose.

Thanks to Chairman and CEO Steve Schorer, along with the other leaders, we surpassed $20,000—a new milestone for the event and a testament to what Peraton can accomplish together.
CFO Salim Omar earned special recognition at this year’s event. He was a last-minute addition and volunteered to take a pie to the face on the spot. His spontaneity exemplified the day’s spirit. His commitment to the cause and willingness to lead by example earned him the Brave Heart Award for the event.
Walking the walk
The work isn’t done yet. The Peraton team will be taking part in the AHA’s Heart Walk on Saturday, Nov. 7. We encourage employees, and others, to register for the Walk and make a difference.
