In this role, Gabe leads this newly aligned sector, which delivers advanced, mission-specific solutions that provide our U.S. warfighters and allies support by air, land, and sea within highly contested environments.
Gabe is a senior defense and national security executive with more than two decades of experience spanning government service, defense acquisition, and industry leadership. He has a deep understanding of this customer base.
Previously, he served as senior vice president of the Defense Technology Solutions Business Unit at KBR, where he led a large and growing portfolio of global defense technology programs. Prior to KBR, Gabe served as the 35th under secretary of the Army, where he directed the full scope of Army operations, personnel, and modernization priorities and led the Army’s programming and budgeting process. Camarillo also led service-wide reforms in software acquisition, foreign military sales and drove the establishment of the Army’s first digital engineering policy.
Earlier in his career, Gabe served as assistant secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, where he spearheaded a broad portfolio of talent management initiatives that meaningfully improved training efficiency throughout the force. He also served as principal deputy assistant secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, overseeing all Army acquisition programs and research and development investment while leading key acquisition reform efforts.
Gabe holds a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School and a bachelor’s in government from Georgetown University, where he was also an adjunct professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy.
