As Peraton’s chief information security officer, David Bakin is helping lead the way on the company’s AI efforts. Working with the company’s chief technology officer and chief information officer, he helped launch Peraton’s AI Enablement and Governance Board, which focuses on operationalizing how the enterprise securely builds, deploys and governs AI to generate positive customer impact.
This cross-sector initiative strengthened overall cohesion, made security a business enabler, and ensured the company’s AI efforts safely scale to meet mission objectives.
“By emphasizing compliance and adhering to regulations while leveraging cybersecurity modernization and integrating AI into operations, Peraton will reduce redundancy and optimize secure service delivery that remains efficient and effective for its customers,” he said.
Bakin also modernized Peraton’s security stack, advancing protection and detection capabilities. His team also launched initiatives that enhanced the company’s visibility, minimized its attack surface, and bolstered threat detection capabilities, bringing improved operational efficiencies and strengthened protection against the latest emerging threats.
