The Peraton NASA Sounding Rocket Operations Contract (NSROC) team was recently recognized at the Wallops Flight Facility Award Ceremony for its outstanding individual and team contributions to NASA’s mission. During the event, the entire team was presented with the 2025 Contractor Excellence Group Award—marking the second time in four years they have received this prestigious recognition.
This award underscores Peraton’s continued dedication and proven performance providing NASA with cost-effective methods of advancing scientific discoveries and human space flight using the latest technology. The NSROC program provides rapid, reliable access to space and near-space environments. Peraton has played a critical role in enabling more than 500 successful launches since 1999—executing missions across the globe from Virginia to Alaska and Norway to Australia.
“This award exemplifies how we bring together technical expertise and operational excellence to support NASA and key areas,” said Drew Uplinger, president, Space & Intelligence Sector, Peraton. “These achievements demonstrate how public-private partnerships enable NASA to deliver on its mission to efficiently push the boundaries of exploration while maximizing return for the American taxpayer.”
In addition to the team award, individual Years of Service honors were presented to three team members whose combined service totaled 125 years.
Amidst national conversations about the United States’ space investments, the Peraton team’s success is a reminder of how collaborative innovation between government and industry accelerates discovery, ensures safety, and maintains America’s leadership in space science and technology.
