Peraton supports some of our nation’s most important missions of consequence, and that often means getting involved with local efforts to make a positive impact on communities throughout the country.
Last month, the Peraton Strategic Innovation Group (SIG) team at Peraton Labs in Silver Spring, Maryland, came together to support the Manna Food Center’s mission to eliminate hunger. Through generosity and collaboration, the SIG team collected numerous donations of the organization’s most-needed items, including grains, protein-rich foods, fruits and vegetables, and other healthy essentials.
Peraton SIG team stands with their donations for the Manna Food Center.
Since opening in 1983 and originally working out of a vacant elementary school, the Manna Food Center continues its ever-increasing support of the Montgomery County, Maryland community. The organization now distributes approximately 12,000 pounds of food daily and serves over 60,000 people each year. Peraton is proud to contribute to an organization that remains committed to making an impact on their community.
“At Peraton, corporate social responsibility is more than a value—it’s something we live out through our employee engagement and volunteer efforts. I’m proud of the incredible work our SIG team did organizing the recent food drive, and I’m grateful to everyone who donated. Together, we’re making a real IMPACT in the fight against food insecurity.” – Manager, Corporate Communications, Joe Cirillo
