Todd Borkey

Chief Technology Officer

In this role, Todd leads the design and implementation of technology strategy, fostering innovative, efficient, and reliable technology and product infrastructure. He joined Peraton with a plan to identify the company’s key differentiators and use those to craft a technical narrative that aligns with the company’s plans for growth. He also oversees the research and development (R&D) of company systems and products.

Prior to joining Peraton, Todd served as executive vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) at Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII). There, he was responsible for the creation and implementation of their technology strategy, R&D, and strategic growth initiatives. Before becoming CTO of the company, Todd was the CTO for HII’s Mission Technology Division, where he managed the division’s technology strategy, R&D, and technical operations. During his time at HII, he founded their artificial intelligence (AI) campaign, along with machine learning (ML), creating leading AI/ML solutions for the defense and intelligence markets.

Todd was also the CTO for Alion Science and Technology, Thales Defense, and DRS Defense Solutions. At each of these companies, he orchestrated technical roadmaps and program operations for a wide range of products including radio frequency communications, U.S Army Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (C5ISR) solutions, remote sensors, radars, sonars, and cyber/electronic warfare products. Earlier in his career, he performed a range of engineering and management assignments within Northrop Grumman and AT&T Bell Labs. While at Bell Labs, Todd managed the development of several world record long-haul undersea optical communications networks.

Todd earned his bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and a master’s degree in engineering management from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.
