Mark Jahshan

Space Systems & Solutions Sector

In this role, Mark leads the sector’s strategy and ensures the business aligns with customer needs and long-term growth objectives. He champions operational excellence across the sector’s business units (BUs) and fosters collaboration to win new business while strengthening customer partnerships.

Before becoming sector president, Mark was the vice president and general manager of the Space Systems and Solutions BU. There, he oversaw the work of personnel generating more than $700 million in annual revenue. His responsibilities included delivering mission-critical space communications and navigation, space weather solutions, space transport, flight operations, space engineering and integration, and manufacturing to customers across National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and Department of Defense (DoD).Prior to this leading the BU, Mark served as the vice president of Strategic Development, with responsibility for transforming the company’s diverse heritage organizations into a coherent and functional enterprise advancing toward its evolving strategic objectives.

Since Peraton’s inception, Mark and his teams have focused on performance improvement, directing initiatives to build capability to match customer demand; people development, designing and delivering training to maximize the efficacy of internally- and externally-facing personnel; and process enablement, mapping the response to difficult challenges into manageable components against which resources and oversight may be appropriately applied. Mark has led cross-sector and cross-functional campaigns focused on capability development and growth, including assured mission communications and ground, hypersonic systems support, as well as unmanned maritime systems.

Mark brings more than 20 years of experience between Lockheed Martin, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Peraton. He has worked as a software engineer, systems engineer, program manager, capture/proposal manager, business developer, consultant, and strategist for U.S. Intelligence Community, defense, and civil agency customers.

Mark received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.
