CMS VDCP

On May 6, 2021, Peraton completed its previously announced acquisition of Perspecta. The legal contracting party that holds this contract, remains unchanged as a result of the transaction.


The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Virtual Data Center Prime (VDCP) is a multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) task order contract that includes all necessary aspects of planning, implementing, transitioning, operating and maintaining CMS’ applications and all related hardware and software within the VDCP environment with the goal of continuously improving CMS’ IT infrastructure services performance.

  • Application Hosting Services for applications requiring Z/OS, LINUX, UNIX and Windows computing capabilities and for applications requiring mainframe computing capabilities
  • Cloud Computing Services for secure Cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and scalable Cloud based Platform as a Service (PaaS) that can dynamically scale to support application hosting for CMS business operations
  • Resource-based Enterprise Services for engineering and program management staff to support CMS-specific activities as it relates to data center operations and governance
  • Telecommunications and Networking Services for engineering, implementation an administration of phone systems and data communications, networks to support audio, video and data across local and wide area networks
  • Disaster Recovery Services for supporting high availability and backup/recovery for the Production Systems
  • Enterprise Security Services, for implementing, monitoring and reporting of security protocol across the full spectrum of services provided by the VDCP Contractor
